On April 19, 2021, the Mars Ingenuity helicopter (affectionately nick-named Ginny) successfully achieved a historical first extra-terrestrial flight. Originally intended for 5 flights, Ginny went on complete a whopping 72 flights in nearly three years. Ginny’s blades were damaged when landing on January 19, 2024, ending the mission.
